Quote from Matt DiFabio about the style of Breaking Point: "From a musical standpoint, I really took a bare bones approach to the riff writing and arrangement of this track. I was focused on getting back to some of that great late 90s groove that really inspired me as a musician in my earlier years. Bands like Stuck Mojo, Prong, Fight and Skinlab from a riff stand-point were always what I really admired...I feel breaking point is a great homage to that style of hard hitting straight ahead, drop- tuned metal." Quote from Matt DiFabio about the production of Breaking Point: "When it comes to the production of Breaking Point or even most of the VEDIC material. I am a purist to a degree and use real high gain amps, cabinets, microphones, drum tones.... I feel that in todays day and age, everyone is using amp simulation and sampled drums and it all sounds so sterile. I hope with Breaking Point, we exemplify what "real" recording can be when done properly". Quote from Jason Feinen on the meaning behind breaking points lyrics: "Breaking point should be relatable to anyone living everyday in the constant battle and pursuit of their own comfort and happiness. The demands of the world around us, the people, the government, it’s a lot to keep up with. As a person you want to put so much energy into your own goals and dreams, but there’s always a tax that lingers and takes a piece of all that energy for itself. This is why we get pushed around by money, work, regulations, fees, governance and a litany of outside distractions; we need to pay time to those in order to get a sliver of ourself to enjoy. Over the last year and a half, we’ve all had our directions sidetracked or outright stopped and when it’s not by our own hands it really puts a weight on the shoulders. It’s hard to assimilate that kind of burden into your life, especially when it’s not necessarily from something out did yourself. The song is a statement of how bad things are and how bad they will get and a realization of continued suffering for no personal gain while you’re watching the machine that runs on your blood and sweat, fall apart around you". VEDIC will be releasing three songs over the next few months including a hard hitting version of "Stormbringer" by Deep Purple.
