Los Angles based rockers GINA AND THE EASTERN BLOCK have released the new song: “The Insanity" via Rockitsessions with distribution through Symphonic. The song comes as a follow up to the well received cover version of the NINE INCH NAILS classic “Head Like A Hole”.
“The Insanity” is a rock, metal and active rock anthem co-written by Eric Hess with additional collaboration from John Sustar (best known for his work as part of the Motionless In White song writing team). “This song speaks to the isolation and desperation that people struggling with addiction and/or other mental disorders often feel. The chorus is giant, epic, heartfelt and immediately memorable. Gina really pushed herself vocally on this song and it shows”, says producer Marc Jordan.
Originally formed by record producer Marc Jordan (The Cult, Slash, The Mowglis, Stitched Up Heart, Bleached, Hyro The Hero, 16volt) and vocalist Gina Katon, Gina and the Eastern Block is known for captivating live shows and sexy, swagger filled songs. Likened to a cross between Iggy Pop and Marilyn Monroe, lead vocalist Gina Katon fronts the band with an undeniably unique vocal ability and a blazingly sexy persona. Gina is also the creator and co-producer of the highly successful rock/metal dance show and performance art group LITTLE MISS NASTY.
GINA AND THE EASTERN BLOCK spent the bulk of 2020 writing and recording new material with plans to release several more songs in 2021.
