Ignite The Fire's Singer Is Chasing His Dream Despite Struggling with Aspergers

Jack Gurecki, lead singer of Ignite The Fire, was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome at the age of four. Regardless of this, Jack hasn't let it hold him back and has been chasing his dream of being a rock star. While it's a struggle for him, he's still fighting to bring the dream to life.

Interacting isn't always easy for Jack. He's a very nice guy but doesn't understand the subtle nuisances that make for social interaction. Not always understanding sarcasm and tends to take things literally. He av eye contact and can come off as quirky.

Even though he has Asperger's syndrome, he's worked hard to become a force to be reckoned with on stage.

“Once you are off that stage, and you don’t have that command, and people are allowed to be themselves in front of you and expect you to be a certain way in front of them, well, it can be very intimidating.” - Jack Gurecki

Ignite The Fire is a Rock/Alternative Metal Band formed on January 14, 2011 from Maryland. The band consists of Jack Gurecki (Lead Vocals), Mark Quinn (Guitar and Vocals), Michael Nelson (Guitar and Vocals), Holly Smith (Bass) and Caelan Gregory (Drums). Their latest EP “Between Shadow and Solace” was released in December 2018 and is currently available on most streaming apps.
