The metal powerhouse who is In This Moment are returning to Stage AE in Pittsburgh, PA on May 14th 2019.
In This Moment is an American metal band from Los Angeles, California, formed by singer Maria Brink and guitarist Chris Howorth in 2005. They found drummer Jeff Fabb and started the band as Dying Star. Unhappy with their musical direction, they changed their name to In This Moment and gained two band members, guitarist Blake Bunzel and bassist Josh Newell. In 2005, bassist Newell left the band and was replaced by Pascual Romero, who was later replaced by Jesse Landry.
The current touring line-up consists of Maria Brink – lead vocals, Chris Howorth – lead guitar, backing vocals, Travis Johnson – bass, backing vocals, Randy Weitzel – rhythm guitar, backing vocals, and Kent Diimmel – drums.
This tour they are bringing along Sevendust, an American alternative metal band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 1994 by bassist Vince Hornsby, drummer Morgan Rose and guitarist John Connolly. After their first demo, lead vocalist Lajon Witherspoon and guitarist Clint Lowery joined the group. Following a few name changes, the members settled on the name Sevendust and released their self-titled debut album on April 15, 1997. They have attained success with three consecutive RIAA gold certified albums, a Grammy nomination, and have sold millions of albums worldwide.
Light the Torch (formerly Devil You Know) will also be on the bill. They are American metalcore band formed in Los Angeles, California, made up of Francesco Artusato – lead guitar,Howard Jones- Lead vocals, Ryan Wombacher – bass, backing vocals, and Mike Sciulara – drums.
They currently are signed to Nuclear Blast Records and have released three albums; The Beauty of Destruction and They Bleed Red, which were released under the "Devil You Know"
moniker, and their latest album, Revival, which was released on March 30, 2018 under the "Light the Torch" name.
Last but certainly not least, HYDE rounds out the bill.
Japan's most prolific rock artist is the lead vocalist for two of the most popular Japanese rock bands L'Arc~en~Ciel and VAMPS. Throughout his career so far, HYDE has recorded more than 300 songs, with 60+ songs breaking the Oricon (Japanese Billboard Chart) top 10.
Still active with L'Arc~en~Ciel, HYDE took a break from VAMPS in early 2018, to reinvent himself yet again as a solo artist, releasing 5 new singles back-to-back: “WHO’S GONNA SAVE US”, “AFTER LIGHT”, “FAKE DIVINE”, "ZIPANG", and "MAD QUALIA". HYDE shows no signs of slowing down with his album “anti” scheduled to be released on June 19, 2019.
