Interview with VAYA

The white wolf Legend

Her spirit is screaming and blowing on the stage. She is the drums and her soul rises up through the sacred fire of music.

Its a powerful rock shaking by war back singers. A live show managing by a strong and sensual female voice supported by psychedelic guitar vibes and robust percussions.

VAYA is carried by three high personalities. Her essence is burning on scene night and day and take us into this fairy and mystical universe.

I recently chatted with VAYA and you can check it out below:

Emmy: How did the name come about?

VAYA: Hi there :)

So here are the first words about VAYA origin. It is the Legend of the white wolf coming from the elders, the native one from North of America. The white wolf Legend is screaming and blowing on the stage. She is the drums and her soul rises up

through the sacred fire of music. Her essence is burning on scene night and day and take us into this fairy and mystical univers.

She is the Ameridian Rock. You can find more about it on our official website : https://www.vaya-official.com

Emmy: How would you describe your genre to someone who isn't familiar with your music?

VAYA: Powerful, wild, it is making awake your animal part sleeping into your bones…;P

RAPHAEL: a tribal rock music, with ameridian influences into the rhythms and the vocals.

Emmy:How did the band form?

VAYA: VAYA is not really a band, it is a musical spirit :) So people who cross its road come and enjoy the sacred fire and share the stage or the production of it. The actual trio is born in Switzerland between studio record session and rehearses.

RAPHAEL: 3 years ago, I met VAYA through a music store in Gland (CH), and she heard that I play the drums. One day, she called me to record the first drums of VAYA’s album. I’ve never left since. It was a big pleasure when Philippe joined us for the live shows. Playing with so talented and connected people is amazing!

Emmy: What are some of the artists that influence you?

VAYA: Jim Morrison

RAPHAEL: Jack White, Coldplay, Queen, Twenty One Pilots, Travis Barker

Emmy: If you could tour with any artist or band (still active or not) who would it be?

VAYA: Jack White ,for sure.

RAPHAEL: Coldplay or Twenty One Pilots

Emmy: What's your favorite show you've played?

VAYA: I do not have any particular in mind because I love to perform.

RAPHAEL: I think it’s the show in Bratislava (Slovakia) last summer. The audience was crazy!

Emmy: What's the future hold for the band?

RAPHAEL: We have recorded some tracks at the Toronto Union Sound Company with Darren Mcgill. A videoclip has been shooted in Japan with VAYA.

In the meantime we continue to promote the first double album released last year. We are planning some tours for next year.

Stay Tuned ;)

VAYA: in Toronto. Working on a second album recorded in Union studio and into a post production of the video clip of one of the new song; done in Japan. Stay tuned!

Big love

VAYA
