KIX Rocks the Mountain at Penn's Peak

East coast rockers KIX made their yearly visit to Jim Thorpe, PA on October 15 and did not disappoint. KIX fans go into their shows knowing two things: 1) their performance is always solid, and 2) they will have an energetic and substantial hour and a half set.

Steve Whiteman is a natural frontman. He is able to still sing well, and he knows how to engage the fans and make them laugh. Even though there were plenty of laughs and smiles at their show, the musicianship from everyone involved was serious as can be. They may not be shredders, but guitarists Brian Forsyth and Bob Paré gave the audience classic riffs and artfully-composed and groovy solo work. Bassist Mark Schenker band drummer Jimmy Chalfant worked seamlessly together to maintain the rhythm section's pounding drive and keep everyone's energy up. The set list also had a great variety of classic KIX tunes from "Cold Blood" and "Girl Money" to a lesser-known "Wheels in Motion".

With an affordable ticket price and a consistently great performance, do not miss the opportunity to catch KIX when they roll through your city!
