Los Angeles psychedelic doom act OLD BLOOD announce first leg of 'Acid Doom Over America' Tour

This Fall, OLD BLOOD will pour Acid Doom over America! The psychedelic doom troupe have announced the first leg of their highly anticipated tour: "Acid Doom Over America" presented by Metal Assault Records. With dates across the West Coast and Pacific Northwest, OLD BLOOD will kick things off on October 22nd in Palmdale CA at Transplants Brewing and conclude part on November 5th in Oceanside CA at Pourhouse.

While out on part 1 of the Acid Doom Over America Tour, OLD BLOOD will share the stage with three labelmates: Through The Oculus and Solar Haze in Palmdale, and Sea Sleeper in Portland. The three other shows in the Pacific Northwest will also feature spectacular blackened doom act Ghorot from Boise, Idaho.

This will be the first OLD BLOOD tour since the 2020 release of their sophomore LP, Acid Doom. Hailed as one of the top albums of 2020 by High Times, Doomed & Stoned and the like; OLD BLOOD will finally get to perform their popular new album, plus selections from their 2016 self-titled debut and more!

Even before their self-titled debut album hit the internet, OLD BLOOD was recognized as being “different” among the growing waves of doom / stoner rock bands. OLD BLOOD showed a push into unique territory within the genre with the addition of crystal clear vocals, keyboards, an emphasis on heady grooves and an extensive live stage show beyond the wall of amplifiers. Elements of early ‘70s rock and psychedelia woven into the down-tempo, swing-beat fabric of fuzz laden desert rock come together in what the band refers to as “Acid Doom."

The 2016 self-titled debut album was described by Rolling Stone as “Amy Winehouse jamming with Kyuss at a desert LSD party.” In 2018, the band released a new single, “Enjoy. The Devil”.

May 2019 saw the amicable parting of ways between OLD BLOOD and original vocalist Feathers. Enter, Lynx and therelease of “Bloody Feathers” on August 9. For a proper introduction to Lynx in all her glory, “Bloody Feathers” was released as the opening track on Los Angeles CA independent heavy metal / hard rock record label Metal Assault Records’ mixtape compilation, ‘Metal Assault Mixtape: Vol. 1’. Subsequently, OLD BLOOD signed a multi-album deal with Metal Assault Records.

The Lynx-fronted incarnation of OLD BLOOD now defines the band’s identity, and it is fitting for release their second album to be titled Acid Doom. This long-awaited follow-up to the debut LP hit streets August 28 2020 and presented the band's sonic output at its most epic and massive.

Acid Doom debuted at #22 on Doom Charts for August 2020, was featured on 'Bandcamp Daily' as #1 in “The Shortlist” for September 2020 along with hitting the Top Albums Of The Year lists on High Times, Doomed & Stoned and The Sleeping Shaman, among other media outlets.

Now in 2021 following an 18-month covid-enforced hiatus from live performances, OLD BLOOD have returned to the stage and are gearing up to take their otherworldly live performance on the road.
