Prophecy Productions congratulate bands for IMPALA Silver Awards

PROPHECY PRODUCTIONS congratulates eight bands for reaping IMPALA Silver & Double Silver Awards

When PROPHECY PRODUCTIONS were originally founded in 1996, the declared aim of the label was to provide a dedicated home for dark stirring music and to offer long-term collaborations to artists signing into the family. At that time, hardly anybody would have expected that in its 25th anniversary year, 8 bands from label's roster were to receive 10 IMPALA Silver and 3 Double Silver Awards.

IMPALA is the European organisation for independent music companies and national associations. The non-profit trade association was established in 2000 to support European independent record labels and music. To receive an IMPALA Silver Award, an album has to achieve verified sales of 20,000 copies across Europe and twice that number for a Double Silver Award.

The following eight bands from the PROPHECY PRODUCTIONS roster have been awarded: ALCEST have received IMPALA Silver for "Souvenirs d'un Autre Monde", "Shelter", and "Kodama" and the French Blackgazer pioneers have furthermore been decorated with Impala Double Silver for "Les Voyages de l'Âme", "Écailles de Lune”, and "Kodama". ARCTURUS scored an Impala Silver Award for "Arcturian". EMPYRIUM have been given Silver for "Weiland". FALKENBACH hit the same with "Asa". GREEN CARNATION got an overdue Silver Award for "Light of Day, Day of Darkness". LES DISCRETS now hold an award for "Septembre et Ses Dernières Pensées", and even notorious SILENCER were rewarded for "Death – Pierce Me". Last but never least, THE VISION BLEAK reached silver level for their classic debut "The Deathship Has a New Captain".

PROPHECY PRODUCTIONS comment: "It has never been the aim of Prophecy Productions to collect precious metals or other awards", writes founder Martin Koller. "Yet, we are of course, in all due modesty, proud that so many of our bands enjoy such loyal support from their fans. We strongly believe in our artists and their music and it is to some extent a validation of our joint efforts and their great talent to receive so many IMPALA Awards. We congratulate all of the recipients from the bottom of our hearts! You all very much deserve this and there will hopefully soon more such awards. We hope to see many of our artists receive such accolades in the next 25 years!"
