T-Pain took over renowned venue Stage AE in Pittsburgh (or as he dubbed it by the end of the night, “Littsburgh,”) on June 12 and really made the sold-out crowd feel at home. The stage backdrop was quite literally his mansion, which shifted between different versions of the party pad, as well as music video clips throughout his performance. Hits like “Bartender” and “Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin’)” rang out through the night sky as concert-goers sang along at top volume.
When T-Pain’s bestselling album, Epiphany, rose to number one on the Billboard 200, I was seven years old and therefore far too young to hear the included hip hop bangers played where they were meant to be heard: in the club. Seventeen years later, and this show definitely surpassed any and all expectations little me had for singing and and dancing with strangers in the summer. From the wardrobe details, to the plethora of special guests, to T-Pain’s iconic voice and dance moves live… the Mansion in Wiscansin Party did not disappoint.
