TAMMY GLOVER RELEASES THE SOUNDTRACK TO THE ACCLAIMED INDIE ROCK MUSICAL WENDY, MY DARLING

Show WINS at Solofest LA, Vancouver and Fundy Fringe

Television executive and indie rock musician Tammy Glover is a true Renaissance woman. She wrote, arranged, produced, and performs the material from her ambitious debut WENDY, MY DARLING.

WENDY, MY DARLING is a collection of twelve original, witty, and resonant indie rock songs from Glover that serve as the soundtrack to an acclaimed indie musical of the same name. Winner of Solofest LA, Pick Of The Fringe at Vancouver Fringe and Spirit Of The Fringe at Fundy Fringe Festival, the show was also an official selection at Asheville Fringe and Solofest SF. WENDY, MY DARLING has received critical and fan acclaim alike.

The first single, “LA, I Love You,” is a sweet and breezy shot of badly needed optimism that captures the sunny disposition of the City of Angels (“We’re only one hit away”). Wrapping these songs around a show like Wendy, My Darling has been a dream. “We’ve been able to amplify the themes on the record and perform them for audiences in a completely fresh way. Bringing the songs to audiences in so many different cities and feeling them resonate so deeply everywhere has been the most satisfying artistic experience of my life!”

In addition to the album, Glover has produced a series of music videos to accompany the songs. The lauded stage show WENDY, MY DARLING has been compared to “Wicked by way of Alanis Morrissette.” The Indie rock musical is a modern take on the classic “Peter Pan” story, which finds a grown-up Wendy Darling (one of the world’s most famous yet least examined literary characters) reclaiming her magic (without the need for fairies and pixie dust). Embracing her agency as an adult, she makes her own magic. Full of wit and catchy pop hooks, the show playfully explores the impact of storytelling and storytellers in our collective culture.

The “not-so-solo,” one-woman show stars April Wish as Wendy and uses video pieces, zoom calls, texts, and phone calls to build out the story. It also features Busy Philipps playing Wendy’s BFF, and Jon Cryer playing her agent. Performances have been accompanied by Glover and her guitar, elevating the events further.

Glover and her collaborators sold out the first 2 shows of their current LA run – performances are currently happening at LA’s Whitefire Theatre with many more to come.
