Third Video/Single "Into The Horizon" Online Today;

Tour With Moonspell Starts Friday

Wasting no time Portland’s VINTERSEA release a third track and music video from the group’s forthcoming album, ‘Woven into Ashes,’ out this Friday. Exemplifying the record’s strength and depth and the band’s continued visual creativity “Into the Horizon” further explores the quintet’s unique blend of influences to create something seismically and enchantingly their own. "Focusing on the atmospheric beauty and haunting melodies that typically pervade our heavier music, ‘Into the Horizon’ is the most introspective and contemplative song from 'Woven Into Ashes,'” states guitarist Riley Nix. “This song is something very different for VINTERSEA, and is a deeply personal reflection. We hope that it gives you the same chills it gives us every time we play it."

’Into the Horizon’ is the song I’ve always wanted to write and have in our repertoire,” furthers vocalist Avienne. “It is unlike any other VINTEREA release because it hones in on the soft and shimmery aspect of melancholy in music. It is also one of the more personal tracks I’ve written lyrically because it became a letter that I would write to humanity once I’m no longer on earth. In a way, all the tracks that we have written serve as letters and will live on past our temporary existence, but this song really strips everything down to the vulnerability one feels with mortality. I’ve teared up and cried writing and performing this song, and I hope our listeners tune in on the song's emotiveness!

Into the Horizon” follows “Unveiling Lighthttps://youtu.be/dmWX0Fm8ttE and “At the Gloaming Voidhttps://youtu.be/y-ztBVt8xXg giving a broad sample of the majesty and breadth of the band’s third opus harnessing progressive, melodic and blackened tendencies into a profoundly unique vision.

The highly anticipated ‘Woven Into Ashes” marks VINTERSEA’s first new music since their notable 2019 release, ‘Illuminated,’ an album that turned many heads and remains a favorite for fans and a consistent seller for the M-Theory label. Out this Friday on CD and Digital (with a limited (500 copies) 2LP colored vinyl edition coming later this summer) the album is available for presale/presave at www.lnk.to/wovenintoashes

The forthcoming effort once again features cover art by Ne Obliviscaris’ singer Xenoyr and is engineered by Gabe Johnston (Unto Others, Silver Talon), while mixing was handled by the team of Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland (Rivers of Nihil, Lorna Shore, Black Crown Initiate) with mastering courtesy of Troy Glessner (Devin Townsend, Underoath, Moonsorrow).

We once again worked with Xenoyr, the vocalist and visionary of Ne Obliviscaris, to reflect the complex range of sounds, energy, and emotions found within ‘Woven Into Ashes.’ As a whole, the artwork represents the journey of our character as they suffer, endure, and ultimately find a sense of peace. Specifically, there are several graphical nods to songs and motifs found throughout the album,” explains Riley.It is truly a pleasure to work with someone who enjoys the process of understanding our creative vision and then translating those themes into artwork.

The album coordinates perfectly with the group’s tour that begins this Friday, the same day as the album release, with Portugal’s famed gothic metal band MOONSPELL, joined by Swedish symphonic metal act ELEINE and Texas’ Progressive OCEANS OF SLUMBER.

VINTERSEA create a unique fusion of majestic progressive metal with harsh blackened death and post-metal beauty which draws inspiration from the darkened skies of their Pacific Northwest home. Fronted by Malaysian-born singer Avienne, whose vocal range spans from haunting melodies to fierce growls, VINTERSEA delivers heavy, emotionally powerful and technically intriguing music that is undeniably inspired by the majesty of their surroundings. The group built an organic and devoted following through impeccable and illustrious music videos (with combined views of almost 3 million), social media outreach and tours with Dawn of Ouroboros, Graveshadow and Voices of Ruin, as well as playing regionally opening for Fleshgod Apocalypse, Obscura, Thulcandra, Wolfheart, Ne Obliviscaris, Jinger, The Ocean, Arkona and Sirenia. Now armed with a stellar new album, proper management and booking agent we are all excited to begin the next album campaign and relish in the growth and further appreciation for this noteworthy young band.
