ANOMALIE ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM "TRANCEFORMATION" AND START PRE-ORDERS
BAND UNVEILS FIRST SINGLE "TRANCE II: RELICS" (FEAT. NORNAGEST OF ENTHRONED)
One step deeper into uncharted waters, engulfed by the night, and the howling driving winds. Somewhere between the flying sparks of a conflagration and the swaying branches in the icy winter air, is where you’ll find the sound of Austria's black metal shamans ANOMALIE.
With their fourth studio album "Tranceformation" that is set to be released on November 5th via AOP Records, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and songwriter Marrok (live guitarist of Harakiri For The Sky) and drummer Lukas Schlintl follow their path descending into the unknown.
The play on words in the title can be taken literally in this case: While the combo's debut "Between The Light" (2014) was still rooted in the post black genre, ANOMALIE soon left these boundaries behind on "Refugium" and discovered their own stylistic niche on the critically acclaimed "Visions" that placed them somewhere between spiritual extreme metal and genuine folk vibes in the vein of Heilung or Wardruna. Pursuing this development, "Tranceformation" is turning its back on typical metal with harsh growls and instead mesmerizes with hypnotic soundscapes and shamanic melodies.
But listen for yourself - today, the band unveils the first single titled 'Trance II - Relics' featuring Enthroned's vocalist Nornagest:
Graced by a cover artwork and layout by Misanthropic Art and mixed and mastered by V. Santura at Woodshed Studios, "Tranceformation" will be out on November 5th and contain these new tracks:
