EYE AM Rebrands as SUN DONT SHINE Announces Strategic Partnerships

EYE AM, the formidable rock ensemble featuring former TYPE O NEGATIVE members Kenny Hickey (guitar/vocals) and Johnny Kelly (drums), alongside riff connoisseurs Kirk Windstein (guitar, vocals; CROWBAR, DOWN, KINGDOM OF SORROW) and Todd Strange (CROWBAR, DOWN), has undergone a remarkable transformation and is now rebranded as SUN DONT SHINE.

Prepare yourselves, rock enthusiasts—SUN DONT SHINE is not merely another band; it is a supergroup composed of four rock legends poised to redefine the very essence of hard rock. Drawing from a wealth of experience, they are crafting a sound that is as bold as a lion and as relentless as your favorite mosh pit. Eschewing complacency rooted in past achievements, this group is determined to shatter boundaries and forge a vibrant path for contemporary rock music.

"I don't want our music to be one-dimensional," says Hickey. "I don't want it to be just dark and doomy or always so heavy. I want it to be both light and dark, dynamic and unpredictable." It's a sentiment that runs deep in their sound, where each track takes on a life of its own, exploring contrasting moods and textures that reveal more with every listen.

With Windstein's extraordinary riffs and Hickey's ethereal melodies, this band elegantly navigates the delicate balance between thunderous intensity and spine-tingling beauty. Kelly's drumming operates like a finely tuned machine—precise yet free to explore, while Strange's bass lines resonate with the power of a seasoned rock warrior, reverberating beneath our feet.

However, what truly distinguishes SUN DONT SHINE is the remarkable chemistry among its members. One can almost feel the electric energy in every note, infused with the raw, unfiltered essence that arises from shared experiences—encompassing both the exhilarating highs and the profound lows of life. Their music celebrates the beautiful chaos of existence, transforming imperfections into something transcendent—capturing the essence of the moment without concern for flawlessness. It is gritty, heartfelt, and undeniably authentic.
