Passionate female blues from a Creative City
Not only pain and suffering can be expressed through music, it can also be a vehicle for growth and healing. This is how Intensa Bravura feels, a quintet born in Concepción (recently named "Creative City" by UNESCO) and that makes its debut with 'Ritual of Witches and Wine', a very deep song full of meaning that delivers the first artistic manifesto with which they show their credentials to begin their climb to success.
Written by Nahí Azul, lead vocalist, lyricist and composer of the group, her inspiration came after attending a meeting with women who shared their stories of attachment to a narcissistic person. “The protagonist shows the intensity and romanticism to which we are conditioned and that puts us in situations of vulnerability when we look for love, but then she discovers that those who exercise toxic dynamics in the relationship generally only see their own pain and are prisoners of their own hell”, she explains. "Thus they become aware that they are free women and that it’s better to open themselves to new possibilities. A magical ritual begins where the witches help heal the wounds of one of their comrades, learning about the importance of loving oneself and understand each other,” she concludes.
From the depth of this story, pianist Rodrigo Poblete, musical director of the group, takes the baton so that each chord becomes a step towards healing. “We believe that music is a bridge that connects the past with the present, the dream with reality and – all of us – with our deepest fibers,” reflects the musician. “Intensa Bravura is the cry of those who found in music the echo of their stories, the refuge of their passions and the expression of their most intimate bravery,” Nahí complements.
The band is made up of Nahí Azul on vocals, Rodrigo Poblete on piano and musical direction, Demian Campos on bass, Sebastián Torres on drums and Lucho Astudillo on guitar and vocals; renowned musicians from the Biobío region of Chile who, after years of experience, join their paths to offer a new musical experience through the universal and all-powerful language of rock/blues.
