Hey guys, check out Emmy's interview with Simon Forsell, the lead guitarist of Pressure
Emmy: How did the name come about? Simon: Well the name is what we are all about in this band. Pressure! Our music describes different pressures around us. We want people around us to use our music as
tools to handle their own pressures. All our music is based upon our own
experiences, feelings and stories. You have to know and have experienced the
thing you write about or know it really well to be able to really channel true feelings
to your audience!
Emmy: How would you describe your genre to someone who isn't familiar with your music? Simon: Our music is a mix from a lot of different genres. It has its roots in heavy metal but is mixed with elements from everything from folk music to modern metal.
Emmy: How did the band form?
Simon: The band is a couple of years old now. We formed after a long search for the right people When we first started out we were playing covers, but soon realized that we
wanted to write our own material and then we started to look for a front man, a
strong and great lead vocalist who could really tell a storty. When we found Olof
we started to work on our sound and songs. And now we have our first album
ready for next year. We are very proud of it. Hope you will listen!
Emmy: What are some of the artists that influence you?
Simon: We get inspired by many artists. We don’t have a favourite or so, we love so many things about different bands and artists. We thrive on real passion and there are
many musicians that are so good at telling a story through a hard rock song! So
we get inspired by talents, and we get motivated to try to do it better!
Emmy: If you could tour with any artist or band (still active or not) who would it be? Simon: Hard question. There are so many. But I would be fun to go on one of the really big tours with one of the hard rock bands of today. Rammstein perhaps? Or Sabaton!
Emmy: What's your favorite show you've played? Simon: The band was just ready for the road when the pandemic hit us. We have done a lot of small shows but were ready to go on tour. Now we have to wait for this. But all
our shows are the best! 😊
Emmy: What's the future hold for the band? Simon: Next year we hope to start to tour again and we will also release our first album
and a couple of more singles. We really look forward to next year and all the things
that will come.
