Patriarchs in Black Unleash New Album “Completely Covered in Black” – Out Now!

Prepare to be blown away as Patriarchs in Black return with their highly anticipated full-length, Completely Covered in Black, now available via NoLifeTilMetal Records. This 11-track powerhouse delivers crushing riffs, soaring vocals, and a masterful mix of doom and heavy metal that pays homage to the legends while staking their own claim in the metal world.

Leading the charge, the standalone single “Left Behind”, co-written by Dan Lorenzo and former Sixty Watt Shaman vocalist Daniel Soren, is already making waves across all digital platforms.

Formed in 2021 by Dan Lorenzo (Hades, Non-Fiction) and Johnny Kelly (Type O Negative), Patriarchs in Black have built a reputation for blending original compositions with rotating guest vocalists and bassists, crafting a sound that’s as heavy as it is timeless. Previous releases include Reach for the Scars (2022), My Veneration (2023), Visioning (2024), Home (2025), and the Covered in Black EP (2025).

Completely Covered in Black features cover tracks of iconic artists including Kiss, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Peter Gabriel, Twisted Sister, Motörhead, and Queen, alongside original material. Fans will also enjoy stellar guest appearances from heavyweights like Mark Sunshine (Unida), Karl Agell (ex-Corrosion of Conformity), Kyle Thomas (Exhorder), Rob Dukes (Exodus), and Bobby Jensen (Hairball).

Guitarist Dan Lorenzo shares, “Johnny and I have always loved recording covers. Kiss shaped my entire musical life. Mark Sunshine’s performance on ‘Games’ really blew people away—this album is a tribute to the legends who made us pick up our instruments.”
