Perenna Announce Upcoming LP "Muses," Out 3/11
Alt rock band Perenna have announced the upcoming release of their debut album Muses, out on all digital platforms March 11th. "Perenna’s core members have taken lessons learned from several prior projects that resulted in the crystallized effort put forth in Muses, the band says of the album. The project was built off of the feelings that music invokes, and Perenna's approach to creating music that ties into human emotion is sweepingly effortless. About the album, the band states:
“This album is the culmination of years of development, bringing musicians from widely varied musical backgrounds together to create a cerebral, eclectic, yet cohesive collection of songs such that the listener will be compelled to return to over and over again. The album was not written with a central concept in mind, rather the songs were written individually, resulting in a fresh mix of alternative rock from several different musical perspectives.”

Perenna is an alternative rock project formed in Boston, MA founded in 2018 by drummer, Clark Davenport, guitarist, Seth Christopher and vocalist, James Smitty. The trio came together after Seth and Clark began jamming with various musicians in the Boston area. They later recruited Smitty from Seth’s past projects for vocals. After playing together for about a year, the group composed the songs that would later make up their first album, Muses. Their music comes from a mix of influences, spanning from jazz and blues to punk rock and indie rock. Their music is for fans of Incubus, Yellowcard, and Coheed and Cambria.
Perenna’s upcoming debut album, Muses, was recorded and produced in Saugus, MA by producer Tommy Ianello. The album is planned to be released in March 2022. It is filled with songs expressing the various reflections of the human condition that the members have all experienced throughout their lives.
