Emerging from the shadows of the underground, theatrical goth metal band Shadow Reborn has officially released their highly anticipated album “The Magnificence of Agony (Part I)”. Out today, the album plunges deep into the philosophical and emotional realms of human torment—presented through orchestral elegance, vampiric mystique, and melodic brutality.
“The Magnificence of Agony aims to explore the different assessments of anguish that can plague the human spirit, all viewed through different lenses with the premise to find the beauty within it,” shares Shades Casanova, the band’s founder, vocalist, guitarist, and visionary.
With a sound self-described as “Goth Metal with a neoclassical romantic flair,” Shadow Reborn lyrically delves into the spiritual and psychological turmoil of life, love, and death—earning them comparisons to “The Lost Boys meets Interview with the Vampire.” Musically, they channel influences ranging from The 69 Eyes, HIM, Malice Mizer, and Dream Theater to Motley Crüe and classical romanticism.
The album’s first single, “Grave of Roses”, is out now and accompanied by a haunting official music video that highlights Shadow Reborn’s lush arrangements, poignant lyricism, and evocative live energy.

ABOUT SHADOW REBORN
Rooted in the gothic subculture yet limitless in their musical vocabulary, Shadow Reborn is a dramatic, genre-defiant collective blending metal, classical, and theatrical rock. Each member brings distinct musical sensibilities, forging a sound that is emotionally raw yet meticulously composed.
Shades Casanova leads the ensemble, fusing melancholic lyricism and romantic guitar melodies with the spirit of old English poetry and Renaissance sorrow.
Daniel Alexander orchestrates arrangements with operatic precision, often wearing a producer’s hat to shape their layered sound.
Robb Lestrange, equal parts rebel and romantic, injects glam-goth swagger with melodic basslines inspired by Skid Row, Peter Steele, and Duff McKagan.
Hermes, precise as a metronome, brings technical death and black metal drumming expertise to their sonic foundation.
Dante Sinclair, the band’s most recent addition, merges The Cure’s ambiance with Polyphia’s virtuosity, crafting solos that balance atmosphere and intensity.
“As the leader and creator of this vision, I am immensely honored I was able to find a collective of musicians that are not only incredibly gifted on their instruments but also deeply care for the craft as much as I do. It’s truly the lineup of my dreams.” — Shades Casanova
Whether described as “Vampire Rock”, “Ethereal Goth n' Roll”, or a gothic opera in leather and lace, Shadow Reborn channels torment into beauty—and The Magnificence of Agony (Part I) stands as their most intimate statement to date.
