Today, California skatecore trio Since We Were Kids! unleash the official music video for their politically charged single, “Love My Country, F*ck The Government”, off their latest album Armageddon Session. The video captures everything the band stands for: rebellion, DIY energy, and unshakable community.

Directed and filmed by Billy Baker, with additional footage from Dan and Art Banura, the video was shot guerrilla-style across several locations, including the High Desert, Hawaii, backyard pools, and a full-blown BBQ party. The visuals pair beautifully with the song’s raw energy and message — offering a glimpse into what makes America worth fighting for, even when its systems fail.
“While we disagree with our government's overreach and policies to divide us, we appreciate the great things in our country like good friends, good times, and good pools.” — Art Banura, Drums – Since We Were Kids!
“We’re not trying to get too political with this one, but we do feel — as a universal sentiment — our government does not work to make things better for us. So f*ck them! This video represents what makes this country so great: friends, family, and skateboarding.” — Dan Banura, Guitar/Vocals – Since We Were Kids!
The track has already caught the attention of listeners nationwide, including Sirius XM Faction Punk, where their song “Past Tense” is currently in rotation. And with upcoming performances at the Punk Rock Bowling Club Show and an Agent Orange tour, Since We Were Kids! is quickly solidifying their spot in the modern hardcore punk landscape.
About Since We Were Kids!
Formed in Victorville, CA, Since We Were Kids! was born out of backyard skate sessions, punk shows, and a lifelong dedication to DIY culture. Brothers Danny and Art Banura, along with bassist Frank, built the band to bring raw truth, humor, and high-octane energy back to punk and hardcore. Their latest album, Armageddon Session, out now on Irish Voodoo Records, is a brutal-yet-uplifting blend of skatepunk, metal, and hardcore.
The band has shared stages with Strung Out, Guttermouth, Ignite, The Dwarves, D.R.I., Death By Stereo, The Bronx, and more, bringing their relentless energy to every set.
Their influences include Rich Kids on LSD, Suicidal Tendencies, Poison Idea, Sick Of It All, and Pennywise—but their sound is all their own: fast, aggressive, and full of soul.
