'Go Outside', the debut single from Sugar Spine, is unrelenting and fierce in its commentary on modern communication. It points the finger directly at those who use social media to abuse, confuse, harass, insult and terrorise others. Angry, hard-hitting, and unflinching. These are only a few words to describe the freshly established Sugar Spine, a hardcore-infused metalcore project from Sydney, Australia. Born in the captivity of quarantine and self-isolation during the pandemic, Sugar Spine isn’t as sweet as it sounds.
With a sound that resembles artists such as Slipknot, (early) Your Demise, Knocked Loose, Stick to Your Guns and others, the music revolves around raw emotion and zeroes in on sheer rage.
With a debut ep already in production, there is no doubt that sugar spine has hit the ground running, and isn’t showing any signs of stopping.
