Tuk Smith and the Restless Hearts Release New Single/Video "Everybody Loves You When You're Dead"

American rock band Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts share their new single/video, “Everybody Loves You When You’re Dead,” the second track from their forthcoming debut album, Ballad of A Misspent Youth slated for release on November 4th. “Everybody Loves You When You’re Dead” is a powerful, stirring rock-ballad. Tuk elaborates on the track’s inspiration: “I was channeling my favorite 70s glam gods on this track, for sure. I woke up one morning with phrase ‘everybody loves you when you’re dead’ running through my head, so I sat down and the piano and the song kind of wrote itself. I had been struggling with the death of a friend and I was flooded with existential thoughts. It’s not necessarily a song about death, per se, it’s a bit more layered with some social commentary thrown in there. Personally, I look at it as more a freedom song.” Listen to “Everybody Loves You When You're Dead” here: https://ffm.to/elywyd

About Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts:

Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts is a Nashville-based rock band founded and fronted by former Biters leader Tuk Smith.

Growing up as an outsider in rural Georgia, Tuk found solace in hardcore punk acts like Black Flag and The Exploited. From there, he branched out into exploring seventies New York bands like The Dead Boys and New York Dolls, which lead him across the sea where he embraced first-wave British acts like The Buzzcocks and the Clash. Soon, he was forming his own acts, touring relentlessly and building a following with his high-energy live shows, including his tour of duty as lead singer for the Biters, who he fronted for nearly a decade.

Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts made their debut at the top of 2020 with the release of their first single, “What Kinda Love.” Before the pandemic hit, the band were due to open on The Stadium Tour with Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe. Now, Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts are back and ready to deliver rock and roll greatness to the masses once again. Their debut album, Ballad of a Misspent Youth, will be out this Fall.
